Manitoba & North-Western Model Railroad is a 28 foot by 38 foot landscaped layout with 2,500 feet of HO gauge track, several hundred freight and passenger cars, 200 steam and diesel engines. Three control boards handle as many as 12 trains operating at once. The Railroad Museum and Picture Gallery has over 2,000 items including pictures, railroad artifacts, books, magazines, railroadania and memorabilia. Tours welcome. Open by appointment. Clearwater Lake Provincial Park
The water of Clearwater Lake is so clear the bottom is visible at 11 m/35 ft. It's a prime habitat for trophy-size lake trout, northern pike and whitefish. Accessible by a self-guiding trail is a natural phenomenon called "the caves," huge slabs of rock broken off the dolomite cliffs. Much of the park's 595 sq. km/ 230 sq. mi. area is made up of coniferous forests yielding a rich variety of berries and wildflowers. Bakers Narrows Provincial Park
This spot is ideal for camping, fishing and boating. There are also playgrounds, boat launches and three beaches. A scenic tower with interpretive signs accessed by a short climb, allows one to see for miles in all directions. Open May to September. Location: 19 km/12 mi. south of Flin Flon on PTH 10.

The Pas Railway Station

The Whitemouth Municipal Museum includes machinery, an original trapper's shack, two log buildings, a Christ Anglican church 1905, an artifacts building, train caboose 1929, antique tractors, a historic home 1910, a two-man rail car with set of tracks, farm equipment and small household items. Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre
This is the first hands-on interpretive facility which will explore the ways in which food is made in Canada. Exciting and interactive exhibits lead visitors from the farmer’s wheat field to the kitchen table. A highlight of these exhibits are viewing windows into a research barn where visitors will peek into a day in the life of a pig. Visitors learn about every aspect of food production from farming practices to retail sales. The Discovery Centre also highlights ongoing research at the National Centre for Livestock and the Environment.

Thunderbird Nest
Thunderbird Nest
The Thunderbird Nest was constructed to attract the Thunderbird as a guardian spirit. A trail leads to five beautiful hand-painted signs describing the legend and a rock formation of the nest depressed in the ground. The Ojibway (Anishinabe) people still perform ceremonies at the site. The legendary Thunderbird is often described as a super eagle, capable of transforming into a man, and able to cause lightning by the flashing of its eyes. It has been thought by the Aboriginals to be the guardian of mankind against his mortal enemy, the horned serpent of the underworld.
