Morden

Welcome to Morden, Manitoba, located in the Pembina Valley region, a community full of rich culture and heritage with lots to see and do.

Are you planning your next family vacation or weekend getaway?

Visit Morden anytime…there’s always something to do, for every walk of life – from the smallest child to the restless teenager and the oldest senior citizen, the friendly community of Morden caters to every social need.

The community is filled with interesting attractions just waiting to be explored. Our star attraction is the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre, home of the biggest marine reptile fossil collection in Canada. The museum prides itself on its Adventure Tours, which give you hands-on experience in an actual excavation of fossils on the Manitoba Escarpment.

In the summer, the community’s vibrant Arts and Entertainment sector comes alive with festivals such as the Morden Corn & Apple Festival, which offers three days of free fun and excitement for the whole family. The Back 40 Festival, held in the Morden Park the first Sunday in June, features an excellent blend of local and Manitoba musicians, while the Pembina Threshermen’s Reunion Days held in September, the first weekend after Labor Day, will take you back in time with demonstrations of how things were done before modern day technology.

Or if a round of golf is more your style, our Minnewasta Golf & Country Club is a world-class, 18-hole facility that takes advantage of the scenic Pembina escarpment. The links provide some of the most challenging golf topography in the province to please both competitive and recreational golfers.

Lake Minnewasta and Colert Beach is another exciting all-season facility that offers endless opportunities for fun. Recreational development includes a large fully serviced campground and RV park, swimming, fishing and water skiing, canoeing, sailing and hiking to be enjoyed in the summer months and cross country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter months.

We invite you to take advantage of all that Morden has to offer.
