About the Fort la Reine Museum; The Fort la Reine Museum is located on Hwy 1 & 1A, at the east edge of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The museim is dedicated to preserving the heritaeg of the Canadian Prairies as well as the history of the City and Municipality of Portage la Prairie. The Fort la Reine Museum has over 25 buildings displaying thousands of individual artifacts including pre-European contact First Nation's artifacts to more modern collections including historic fire trucks, an old print shop, "Fisher's" general store, the "West Prospect" school, churches, hand hewn log structures, and historic homes.; Open from May till the end of September.; 9-6 Monday - Saturday; 12-6 Sunday; Group tours by appointment.;;Hwy 1 & 1A, Portage la Prairie, Manitoba;Visit our website at fortlareinemuseum.ca;Phone: 837-3259 Like us on Facebook!
