Louis Riel Statue
Louis Riel Statue, created by sculptor Miguel Joyal and commissioned by the Manitoba Métis Federation, is located on the south grounds of the Legislative Building facing the Assiniboine River. The statue commemorates Riel's contribution to the development of Canadian Confederation and his role, and that of the Métis, as founders of Manitoba.
