Gretna
Gretna
A cairn commemorates the Mennonite pioneers, who in 1875 crossed the Red River at Emerson and followed the Post Road westward into the treeless plains shunned by earlier immigrants. The peace bell, a 115-year-old school bell, was installed in a peace tower in Centennial Park in 1967. Location: north of Gretna on PTH 30.
