5 Fun Blue Bomber History Facts

As we head into the Grey Cup this weekend, let’s brush up on some fun facts that you can share at your watch party.

1. The Blue Bombers used to be called the Winnipeg Winnipegs (commonly referred to as The Pegs for short).

2. The original colours were green and white, the team transitioned to blue and gold in the mid 30s.

3. The Pegs were the first team in western Canada to win the Grey Cup in 1935.

4. Milt Stegall, a former Blue Bomber receiver, has held the CFL record for most career touchdowns since 1995.

5. The team holds the record for most Grey Cup appearances (29 appearances come Sunday).
