Unforgettable Family Fun at The Victoria Inn

Dino surprises, great food and waterslides = fun at the Victoria Inn!

Being parents of two kids, we're always looking for fun and easy things to do that are close to home - so we were thrilled to check into the Victoria Inn for a night. We thought it would be great for the kids as it has a Dino Themed Kid’s Suite and Dino Beach Water Park. We were right!

A Dino-Sized Surprise

We didn’t tell the kids there was a dino theme. The suite was split into two areas—one side was a comfortable deluxe room and the other looked like it was straight out of prehistoric times. When they opened the door they were shocked. Seeing the joy on their faces was priceless. The best part was, they hadn’t even seen the pool area yet.

Refueling at Chicago Joe’s Restaurant

After settling in, we headed to Chicago Joe’s Restaurant and Sports Bar for a bite to eat. The restaurant had a relaxed and family-friendly vibe. The kids loved the coloring sheets and we treated them to their favorite drink; a Shirley Temple. Our kids loved the pancakes, while we indulged in, hearty Rueben sandwiches and a fresh Greek salad. The staff were incredibly accommodating, ensuring our lunch was enjoyable. They didn’t even mind our kids making coffee creamer towers! It’s kind of a quirky cross-generational family thing we do.

Diving Into Adventure

The highlight of our stay was, without a doubt, the Dino Beach Water Park. Our kids couldn’t get enough of the 160-foot corkscrew slide and went down it over and over again. They also loved splashing around in the dino egg-shaped hot tub and letting the waterfall cascade over their heads.

The Perfect Location

One of the best things about The Victoria Inn is its location. It’s close to so many of Winnipeg’s top attractions like the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, Polo Park Shopping Centre and the ScotiaBank Theatre.

A Family Stay to Remember

Our stay at The Victoria Inn was everything we hoped it would be—a comfortable, fun, and memorable family experience. It was the perfect home base for our adventures, and we can’t wait to return.
