The Winnipeg Embroidery Guild (WEG) will be hosting their annual show and sale at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 755 Elm Street at Grant Avenue from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Stitched handiwork such as beaded or embroidered ornaments, home décor, greeting cards, jewellery, accessories, and gifts are for sale with prices for every budget. Perfect for Christmas shopping! Admission is free; cash, credit and debit are accepted.

All items sold were juried, ensuring demonstration of top craftsmanship in embroidery of all types: Cross-stitch, Hardanger, Pulled Thread, Crewel, Brazilian, Stumpwork, Sashiko, Blackwork, Punto Antico, Canvaswork, Kaba Yubinuki, Goldwork, Appliqué, Silk ribbon embroidery, Surface embroidery and Thread painting. Members will be on hand to welcome visitors, show their work, and answer questions about it. If you are interested in stitching yourself, this is an opportunity to meet Guild members, see the wide variety of techniques you can learn, and consider joining others who stitch!
