We are excited to present Sound Sanctuary, with Stereo Nightclub resident Simply City and Jereme Oliver of Artilect Mix Series opening this special night.

Chilean-born DJ/Producer SIMPLY CITY began his music career in the clubs and raves of his native city of Santiago under the alias Cesar “Bass” Romero. After becoming one of the most in-demand DJ’s in his home country, he left Chile to begin touring across Latin America, Asia, Europe and North America.

It was in Montreal that he decided to take root. There, he gained a coveted spot as a resident at Montreal's world famous Stereo Afterhours, where he has engaged crowds and developed his sound for over 10 years.

Stereo’s globally recognized sound system, acoustic space, and dedicated club-goers have given Cesar the opportunity not only to apply his breadth of experience as a career DJ, but also to explore a variety of new musical territories. At Stereo, Cesar never fails to flex his mixing skills to an audience of “stereo-heads”; always taking them on a truly sonic and atmospheric journey. Whether opening up the room for some of the biggest names in the industry or taking over the space for an “all night long” set, his mastery of tight mixing and careful track selection have garnered him respect both locally and internationally.

Cesar has released several tracks on some of the most well-renowned progressive house labels, including onedotsixtwo, Mango Alley, Anjunadeep, and Hernan Cattaneo’s venerable Sudbeat Music (with whom he has toured extensively over the past several years). Inevitably, Simply City has become respected as one of Montreal’s most recognized progressive house producers.

We’ve had the privilege of knowing Cesar for many years, and we’re thrilled to have him back for a second time at Institution (remember 2018?). We’re ecstatic that Simply City accepted our invitation to return, and we can’t wait to experience his infectious Stereo flair once again, right here at Club Happenings in Winnipeg!
