Manitoba joins the Great Taste of Canada as a culinary travel destination

Manitoba restaurants, breweries and culinary experiences are now profiled on CanadaCulinary.com.
Food tourism is on the rise in Canada thanks to the efforts of the Culinary Tourism Alliance—a non-profit food tourism development organization working to market and promote culinary experiences across Canada.
Manitoba’s diverse culinary offerings, from Indigenous foods to innovative farm-to-table dining experiences local restaurants and craft breweries, are now showcased on the Great Taste of Canada website at CanadaCulinary.com. Travel Manitoba has joined the ranks as a destination marketing organization member with the Culinary Tourism Alliance in order to enhance Manitoba’s visibility as a food destination.
Manitoba’s culinary scene has always been rich with cultural influences and local flavours. From traditional bannock and wild rice to dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients, the province offers a culinary journey that reflects its unique landscape and cultural mosaic.
Travel Manitoba’s new membership with the Culinary Tourism Alliance is more than just an opportunity to showcase the province’s restaurants—it’s a chance to tell the story of the people, the land and the culture through the universal language of food.

Manitoba will benefit from the Culinary Tourism Alliance’s marketing efforts, which include a customizable profile page on CanadaCulinary.com including an interactive map and a full year of ad space on the website, destination promotion through social media and a feature in their consumer newsletter. A second profile page focusing on Winnipeg’s culinary scene can be found on the site, curated by Tourism Winnipeg.
