Announcing the Winners of the 2025 Manitoba Adventure Dog Contest!

Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada – Travel Manitoba is pleased to announce that Louis and Waffles from Winnipeg have been named Manitoba’s 2025 Adventure Dogs! For the first time, a paw-fect duo is being recognized as the province’s most adventurous furry companions, selected as top dogs from over 100 submissions from across Manitoba.
Louis, a gray French bulldog, and Waffles, a brown Old English bulldog, capture the essence of outdoor exploration in their winning entry, highlighting their vibrant energy and love for nature. From navigating forest trails to camping under starry night skies, this dynamic duo share the joy of exploring the province’s stunning landscapes, along with their human companions Alicia and Tom Mitchell.
“The creativity and enthusiasm displayed by this year’s participants has been outstanding,” said Desiree Rantala, Content Marketing Coordinator at Travel Manitoba. “It’s been inspiring to see so many Manitobans embracing outdoor adventure with their dogs. Louis and Waffles have already explored so much of Manitoba and we’re excited to help them check off more destinations on their travel lists.”
As Manitoba’s 2025 Adventure Dogs, Louis and Waffles will receive a special prize package including collaboration opportunities with Travel Manitoba to further explore the province. The winning pups will also be featured prominently on Travel Manitoba’s social channels and website.
“We are thrilled that Louis and Waffles have been named Manitoba’s 2025 Adventure Dogs, and we are looking forward to working with Travel Manitoba this year to showcase all of the amazing pet friendly places and adventures our province has to offer,” said Alicia.
In addition to the grand prize winner, Travel Manitoba has awarded two runners-up, Anna Bananas Adventures and Baylor and Brewer, who also demonstrated exceptional passion for adventure through their entries. Runners-up will receive prize packages including gift cards to help them explore the province even more.
