    Manitoba’s spectacular wilderness is preserved and enjoyed thanks to 92 provincial parks, 15 provincial forests and 2 national parks – Riding Mountain National Park and Wapusk National Park. Plus, Manitoba has two million hectares of protected landscapes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site--a massive area on the east side of Lake Winnipeg known as Pimachiowin Aki.

    These preserved spaces provide opportunities for scenic views, outdoor adventures and for appreciating the people, the plants and wildlife that make these places so special.

    Riding Mountain National Park

    Covering three different ecosystems, Riding Mountain offers diverse terrain to explore and a variety of wildlife to discover. Riding Mountain National Park is also only one of five Canadian national parks that has a resort town.
