Manitoba has several scenic road trips that highlight its landscapes and attractions. The Call of the North route takes you from The Pas to Flin Flon, with stops at Clearwater Lake, Wekusko Falls Provincial Park and Grass River Provincial Park. Water, Water Everywhere follows the Winnipeg River through Beausejour, Pinawa and Lac du Bonnet, offering hiking, paddling and historic sites. The Perfectly Parkland road trip explores Russell, Inglis and Duck Mountain Provincial Park, featuring grain elevators, horseback riding and hiking trails.

Manitoba is a fantastic Canadian province for RV travel, with scenic drives, spacious campgrounds and plenty of room to roam. You’ll find RV-friendly sites in provincial parks and private campgrounds. Be sure to book ahead during summer, especially in popular spots. Many sites offer electrical and water hookups, dump stations and access to hiking, beaches and fishing. In 2025, provincial park vehicle permits are free!

Manitoba offers diverse hiking and camping experiences. Riding Mountain National Park features scenic trails, wildlife and lakeside campgrounds. Whiteshell Provincial Park has rugged forests, stunning lakes and many campgrounds. Spruce Woods Provincial Park is known for the Spirit Sands trail and as a dark-sky preserve. Hecla/Grindstone Provincial Park provides coastal trails along Lake Winnipeg. Birds Hill Provincial Park, near Winnipeg, offers easy hiking trails and family-friendly campgrounds.

Manitoba’s lakes and rivers provide a range of water activities. Clear Lake, East Blue Lake and West Hawk Lake are popular for kayaking, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding. Lake Winnipeg and Hecla Island offer great boating and sailing opportunities. Churchill River Estuary is famous for beluga whale watching via boat or kayak. Floating down the Pinawa Channel on a tube is another popular summer activity.
